What a fantastic idea !

As part of fashion on the ration I haven’t really embraced “make do and mend”…… Until now! I was having a wardrobe clear out and had a few of Mr G’s old shirts to go to the charity shop. There are tons of posts on the internet about refashioning a mans shirt so I thought I would give it a go. The shirt in question was a very nice white number made of lovely Purcell cotton (the stuff fancy hotel bedding is made of!) It’s been quite a while since its been worn so it was prime remake material.

Most of the internet posts on refashioned shirts give you a bit of a folksy style blouse at the end with gathered waists etc. That is most certainly not me so if the shirt was going to get a new lease of life it needed to be more minimal. I decided…
